Chicago Cubs bench coach Mark Loretta will sit out one game for a hilarious reason.
Loretta was suspended for one game by Major League Baseball for one game after protesting a replay decision in Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The suspension came from the fact that Loretta actually put the umpire headset on to try to get an explanation from the replay office in New York.
Mark Loretta was suspended because he put the umpire review headset on to get an explanation from New York on Saturday. Might be against the rules but that’s kind of funny.

Managers and coaches are not entitled to explanations after replay decisions. In fact, they’re supposed to be ejected if they even leave the dugout to argue a review, though that hasn’t always happened. Was Loretta’s stunt ever going to work? No way. Was it hilarious? Absolutely.
