Antonio Brown appeared in court on Tuesday for a deposition related to a lawsuit he is facing for allegedly trashing a luxury apartment he rented in Miami. The apartment is the same one where Brown was accused of throwing furniture off his balcony, leading to a separate lawsuit that has since been settled.
Brown is being sued by the owners of The Mansions at Acqualina in Miami for allegedly vandalizing an apartment he rented for $35,000 per month from February 2018 to July 2018. The property owners say Brown left the condo with broken and defaced furnishings in addition to extensive wall and floor damage.
It was that same luxury apartment where Brown allegedly threw furniture items off a balcony in a fit of rage last year. WSVN in Miami obtained some wild surveillance footage from that incident, and it shows several large items raining down on a pool area with people scrambling to get out of the way.
#AntonioBrown settled out of court after a family accused him of throwing furniture from a 14th story balcony that nearly hit a 22-month-old and that child’s grandfather last year in Sunny Isles. One of the objects is said to have landed close to a 22-month-old boy. The father of that child sued Brown over the incident, and the two sides reached an undisclosed settlement that included Brown writing a check to the boy’s college fund.
Brown has faced numerous legal issues over the past few years, and you can see a summary of most of them here. Being sued by the condo owners is just one of many. Appearing in court sounds like something the seven-time Pro Bowler will continue to be quite familiar with.
