The LG Twins lead the KBO standings after a win against the Doosan Bears. Although it was not a perfect weekend for the LG Twins, getting two wins out of the series was enough to take over the top stop of the standings.
Twins fans who bet on baseball are happy with the series victory over local rivals in the Jamsil Derby. Getting the number spot over SSG Landers was also a welcome bonus.
Sports betting experts said LG Twins opened the series with a 7-4 victory. However, Doosan rebounded and won 7-4 on Saturday. Finally, the Twins regained their composure and closed the series with a 15-3 beating over their rivals.
Twins Lead the KBO
The Landers defeated the fourth-place Lotte Giants in a three-game series, but Sunday’s 12-1, 8-5, 7-2 loss gave the Twins the lead back. KT Wiz, eighth in the KBO, won the first two games of their series against the Samsung Lions but lost the final match 7-5.
A victor could not be determined between the fourth-place NC Dinos and the sixth-place Kia Tigers, who played to a split 7-7 draw on Sunday after the Tigers won 13-11 on Friday and the Dinos won 10-7 on Saturday.
On Friday, the eighth-place Kiwoom Heroes and the tenth-place Hanwha Eagles played to a 2-2 tie in Daejeon; however, the Heroes came back with wins of 9-6 and 6-5 on Saturday and Sunday to claim the series. The weekend games followed some more conclusive midweek series, with the Twins again emerging victorious with a 2-1, 3-2, 9-3 victory over the Lions at Jamsil.
The Landers’ downfall from first place began in the middle of the week when they unexpectedly lost a series against the Wiz. Even though SSG took Tuesday’s opener by a score of 8-1, they went on to drop Wednesday’s by a score of 14-4 and Thursday’s by a score of 7-3.
