Three taekwondo athletes are part of the Refugee Olympic Team for the Tokyo Summer Olympics. Also, World Taekwondo announced on Tuesday that Dina Pouryounes Langeroudi, Abdullah Sediqi, and Kimia Alizadeh Zonouzi would head to Tokyo in July as part of the Refugee Team along with 26 other athletes.
The International Olympic Committee approved the members of the Refugee Olympic Team. Thus, they decided based on the athletes’ refugee status, performance, and balanced representation among genders and regions.
According to sports betting odds experts, the Refugee Team will compete in 12 sports in the Olympics. They are ambassadors of peace and hope. Also, they want to raise awareness of the sufferings of more than 80 million displaced individuals worldwide.

In June, World Taekwondo is holding an Online WT Poomsae Challenge. It attracted 400 participants with 12 refugees.
