Governor Ned Lamont places in the first wager of the state, betting $50 on the Connecticut Sun covering the spread versus the Chicago Sky. Legalizing sports betting in Connecticut was fast- the timeline is much faster than that of other states. Governor Lamont signed HB6451 into law last May 27.
