Two South Korean soccer fans sued the organizers of the match between the K League All-Stars and Italian side Juventus. They claimed not seeing Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the game caused them mental anguish.
The lawyer representing the fans told football news reporters that the contract stated Ronaldo had to play at least 45 minutes in the friendly match. However, the superstar stayed in the bench the whole game.
The fans want compensation for the cost of the ticket and 1 million won each. Most soccer fans bought tickets to see Ronaldo play. Fasta, the event’s promoter, even told sports betting reviews and news sites that they had a deal with Juventus to let Ronaldo play for at least 45 minutes.
Also, the organizers promised a fan signing event. Even soccer betting predictions went wrong because everyone thought it was a done deal.
South Korean Soccer Fans Want Refund and More
In cases of false advertisement, complainants usually get a refund for the price of the tickets. However, it is ta special case because the promoter took advantage of the South Korean soccer fans.
