Canadian province, Alberta, finally launches a local online gambling website, PlayAlberta.ca. The Alberta Gaming Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC) announces the unveiling online casino and lottery site. And it is powered by NeoPollard Interactive.
According to casino news reports, the product is accessible via desktop, tablet, and smartphones. It will only be available to Albertans over 18 years of age and provided they are physically located in the province.
Local Online Gambling Website Limited Product Offerings
Even though a local online gambling website has finally come to the Canadian province, its products are still narrow. For the time being, poker and sports betting are not available – including the limited parlay betting currently permitted under Canada’s arcane wagering laws.
The site, however, is promising to add more features in the coming months. Also, AGLC insists that PlayAlberta will generate a fair revenue of C$3.74m in fiscal 2021. As per most online gambling South Korea sources, the commission expects to raise C$150m within the next five years.
Long and Torturous Path to Alberta’s Legal Online Gambling
